Outta Affric Walking Festival

During the festival, we re-visit some old friends on classic Affric walks, whilst adding new twists to established routes. We will even introduce you to new walks on Munros not yet visited as part of the Festival.

'Iconic Birds of the Highlands' Conservation Week

Take the opportunity to see and learn about the area's magnificent and rare bird species, and to take part in hands-on habitat restoration work. Locations include RSPB Corrimony to see a spectacular black grouse lek.

Cannich Craft Day

Craft stalls (weaving, knitting, felting, ceramics, jewellery and more) demonstrations, home-baking, tea and coffee and soup. Free ceramic painting for children (2 workshops; 11.30-12.30 and 1.30-2.30) each workshop up to 10 children.

Mountain Magic - Forestry Commission Scotland

Bag some exercise and views of mountains on the historic track along the Allt na Imrich river. Hear some of the history and hopefully see some of the present inhabitants.

Dragons and Damsels - Forestry Commission Scotland

Do you know your damsels from your dragonflies? Walk to Coire Loch to look for and find out about the lives of these amazing insects. Wear wellies and midge hood. Weather permitting.

Coire Loch Walk - Forestry Commission Scotland

Can’t see the wood for the trees? Go for a walk to have a closer look at the pinewoods. Hear about the conservation of this National Nature Reserve and what makes Glen Affric so special.

Lord Tweedmouth Walk - Forestry Commission Scotland

Walk in the footsteps of Lord Tweedmouth to see the legacy of his trees, compare with modern forestry, hear some of the history of his estate and what lives there now.
