Travel & Transport Information

Travelling by Road

Road access to Strathglass and the villages of Cannich, Tomich & Struy is via the A831 that runs from Drumnadrochit (Loch Ness) to Beauly. Cannich, the main point of entry to the Glen Affric NNR, is approximately 12 miles from Drumnadrochit and 17 miles from Beauly. The A9 and the A82 are the two main routes from the south, despite many calls over the years there has been no major upgrading to either and drivers are urged to show caution at all times especially during busy periods.
