Travel by Coach

Stagecoach are now the main public service bus operator throughout the Highlands. They operate services from Inverness to Strathglass and the nearby villages of Beauly and Drumnadrochit. Visitors might like to note that bus timetables vary according to factors such as public and school holidays - as well as days of the week - there are no buses to or from Strathglass on Sundays. Some services do not run at all when schools are closed. Timetables may change with the seasons or for operational reasons. You are therfore advised to ensure you have up to date timetable information so please check direct with the company.

Rail Travel

Although rail companies still receive a lot of criticism over services, the re-opening of the railway station at Beauly a few years ago has meant better access for both locals and visitors to Strathglass. This station lies on the route between Wick and Kyle of Lochalsh (via Inverness) so lends itself as a starting point for one or two nice day trips.
