Police - Northern Constabulary
Northern Constabulary is the force responsible for policing in Strathglass. The force Area Command Headquarters are in Inverness. Due to major changes in recent years several rural police offices have been closed or earmarked for closure (2011) so non-emergency calls should be directed to Inverness Area Command Headquarters - (01463 715555)
NHS Highland provide health care throughout the Highlands. Raigmore Hospital in Inverness provides full Accident & Emergency services. There are medical practices in both Beauly and Drumnadrochit. Local surgeries are held in Cannich by visiting doctors on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. The nearest pharmacies are at Beauly and Drumnadrochit. Numbers to note:-

NHS 24 offers both an on-line and telephone (NHS 24 - 08454 242424) based service answering calls regarding health matters and offering advice. You can contact them at any time for advice. When the GP surgeries listed above are closed (evenings, weekends and public holidays), calls are automatically forwarded to NHS 24. If NHS 24 staff feel it is appropriate then they will arrange for patients to see a doctor during the out of hours period. This may mean the patient having to travel to an out of hours centre.
